Augusta Prep wins state literary competition

Augusta Prep won the GISA State Literary Competition on Monday, March 18 in Barnesville, Ga., for the fourth consecutive year. This time, the Cavaliers won the event in close fashion.

Augusta Prep finishers included:

Personal essay--Grace Greer--1st place

Rhetorical essay--Mayah Nussbaum--2nd place

Lower Solo--Noah Kimbrough--3rd place

Treble Solo--Mayah Nussbaum--1st place

Piano--Yuchen Lin--1st place

Trio--Mayah Nussbaum, Emily Huo, Isabella Deaner--3rd place

Quartet--Noah Kimbrough, Aidan Kho, Hank Monnig, Troxell Harbin--2nd place

Extemporaneous Speaking (domestic)--Amelie Wang--3rd place

Augusta Prep won State Literary with 38 total points. Second place finished with 36 points, while third place finished with 34.
