Admission Process

  • 1. INQUIRE

    Completing our INQUIRY FORM expresses your interest in learning about Augusta Prep and keeps you informed about important admission dates and events. Be sure to include the school year of interest. It's quick and easy!
  • 2. VISIT

    Experience the magic of Prep as soon as you step on campus. Visit classrooms, engage with teachers and see our Cavaliers in action! Schedule a tour here or by contacting the Admission Office.
  • 3. APPLY

    Applications for the 2027-28 school year will become available starting October 1.
  • 4. FINANCIAL AID

    The Financial Aid process is separate from the application for admission to Augusta Prep. Families interested in applying for Financial Aid will submit an application through Clarity.

  • 5. ADMISSION ASSESSMENTS AND STUDENT VISITS

    Students applying to our 2-year-old program through 4th grade will visit campus and take an assessment (Preschool through 4th Grade only) while they are here. Families will self select visit days through the Application checklist.

    Applicants to grades 5 through 12 will visit campus during the school day and experience first-hand what it's like to be a Cavalier! Scheduling will be available through the Application checklist.

    Students applying to grades 5 through 12 will complete the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE). The test will be offered at Augusta Prep on two dates: Saturday, December 5 and Saturday, January 16. Students may also take the ISEE at any school offering the exam or through ISEE at home. Be sure to include our school code 110278 during registration. For families requesting financial assistance, please contact the Admission Office at 706-434-2381 regarding an ISEE Fee Waiver.
  • 6. ADMISSION DECISIONS

    All completed applications are carefully considered by the Admission Committee in relation to grade level applicants and the number of available grade level spaces.

    Report cards, admission testing, teacher recommendations, and the school visit will all be considered during review, with the most important being the academic fit between the student and the school.

    Applications completed by the January 22 Priority Consideration Deadline will be reviewed by the Admission Committee and decisions released in mid-February.

    IMPORTANT DATES

    • October 1: Applications open for the 2027-28 school year.
    • October 15: Families of prospective and returning families may submit the Clarity financial aid application. Clarity applications are due by December 15 for returning families. 
    • November 11: All-School Open House, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
    • December 13: Application deadline for current families with new applicants for priority consideration.
    • January 29: Priority Consideration Application Deadline. (all application items and financial aid applications must be complete.)
    • Early March: Admission Decisions released. Those who earned admission and applied for financial aid will be notified of their award.
