Augusta Prep alum to compete in U.S. Olympic Trials

Amy Riordan, Augusta Prep Class of 2022, is competing this weekend in the U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials in Indianapolis.
Amy, who just completed her second year at the University of South Carolina, is competing in the Women's 200 Freestyle event. Prelims will start at 11 a.m., Sunday, June 16.

In her senior season at Augusta Prep, Amy won the 100 freestyle and 200 freestyle events at the state meet, setting state record times in both events. Amy was also a record-setting swimmer for the Aiken-Augusta Swim League.

Amy is not only one of the top swimmers at South Carolina, but she's also a high-achiever in the classroom, earning Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll honors each of her first two years. She is majoring in Biological Sciences.
