Clapp

Susan Clapp grew up in Frankfort, Kentucky and attended Wake Forest University, graduating in 2001. She earned her J.D. from Wake Forest School of Law in 2004. She practiced in North Carolina and moved to Augusta in 2006 for her husband’s medical training at the Medical College of Georgia. She is married to John Clapp, who practices orthopedics in Augusta. Susan practiced law at Hull Barrett, PC primarily working in the areas of insurance and medical malpractice defense.

Susan and John are proud parents to two children who attend Augusta Prep: Lillian (’26) and Ward (’31). She is active in the community and serves on the Board of Trustees for Historic Augusta, Inc., the Executive Committee of the Augusta Symphony Guild, and is a member of Trinity on the Hill. She also serves on the Board of Advisors for the State Botanical Garden of Georgia.
Augusta Preparatory Day School is an independent, college preparatory school serving children ages 2 through Grade 12 from the greater Augusta-Aiken area. Augusta Prep seeks to enroll a group of diverse students. We follow an open admission policy, whereby qualified candidates are admitted without regard to religion, race, nationality, economic background, or ethnic origin.
