Ellington

Michele Ellington is a graduate of the University of Georgia where she earned a dual B.S. degree in Family and Consumer Sciences and Journalism. She worked more than 20 years in fundraising and special event organization roles. She is married to Jim Ellington and has one son, Hayes (28). Her family has been a part of the Augusta Prep community since Hayes began pre-kindergarten. One of her favorite parts of Augusta Prep is cheering on Hayes and his teammates as they compete in Cross Country and Track events.

Michele has held various leadership roles in the AP community. Starting as a lower school room parent, she became involved in the Prep Family Association (PFA). She served as PFA Lower School Co-Vice President and Lower School Co-Fall Carnival Chair for three years. Then she served as PFA Secretary for five years. In 2023, she joined the Booster Club Executive Committee and managed the Booster Club concession stand.
